I always said it was over 40 million!

They have worked very hard covering up how many of them are here for various reasons.

50 years ago we watched as they would get caught breaking the law and deported.

As a building contractor I saw the foot prices cut in half with all the crews becoming non English speaking.
Starting with the 90ies I saw from Texas to Florida,,Phoenix AZ to California,, dropped foot prices so low I had to give up new construction and go into Remodeling and Cabinet making,, Historical restoration etc..
The builders were using illegal immigrants as a work force.
The cost of framing dropped from $7 a ft. to $3.50 a ft. that’s how it started. CUT IN HALF.
My bread and butter was new construction,, I now had to give it up. What happened to framing was happening to all the wood trades.
From trim to framing I did it all. For over two decade’s.
I’m one of the contractor’s that helped build all the developments from Florida to Arizona.
From Town Houses to Condominium’s,,and Single Family Homes I was there.
This forced me into the million dollar market,, which was a good thing.
All contractors want the million dollar homes but cant break into that market.
While the business is cut throat all around,, the million dollar market is “I’ll stab you in the heart!”
Only the best can stay in the million dollar market.
This was all part of my journey to becoming a master carpenter.

The non stop influx of illegal aliens coming onto this country for the past 5 decades has cost me millions of dollars.
I have many friends who were contractors,, we tended too know each other and compete against each other on a regular basis.
But we were friends.
The only contractors not liked by us were the cut throats who lowered the foot prices to under bid us.
These were the contractors that used illegal labor and hid it.
That’s the only reason they could lower the ft. price and still turn a profit.
